I'm an aspiring author from San Diego, California, recently returned from five and a half years of living in England. I'm an alumni of UC Santa Barbara, where I earned a BA in English, and also the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK, where I spent a year abroad goofing around with some cool British kids, and finally the University of Sussex in Brighton, England, where I got my MA in Creative Writing and Authorship.
While studying in Brighton I met my future husband and fellow aspiring author—alias Big Chimp. We were married in August of 2011.
I write YA fantasy, but not exclusively. Writers who inspire me are JK Rowling, Diana Wynne Jones, Tad Williams, Laini Taylor, and Charlotte, Emily, and Ann Brontë.
I love traveling, reading, drawing, nature, feminism, iced coffee, the amazing city of London. I also run. Very, very slowly.
